What to write to us about

• An error or an outdated step. Tell us the page and what changed. If an agency or company updated its procedure, a link to their new page helps. We check it against the official source, fix confirmed errors and update the guide's fact-check date (see our editorial policy).
• A broken link or a tool that doesn't work on your phone or computer.
• A situation we don't cover yet that you'd like a guide for.

Please don't send passwords, account or card numbers, or your Social Security number. We never need them, and we will never ask for them.

If you've been scammed

We can't recover money or investigate individual cases, and nobody legitimate will charge you to do it. Use the official channels:

• Report fraud to the FTC: ReportFraud.ftc.gov
• Report identity theft and get a recovery plan: IdentityTheft.gov
• Report an online crime to the FBI: IC3.gov
